Differentiators
Best Foot Forward is the only ACT and SAT tutoring program in the Kalamazoo area offering one-on-one, in-home tutoring with a proven curriculum.
When it comes to learning, one size does not fit all. BFF uses diagnostic tests and online tools to customize its test prep curriculum to each student’s academic needs and learning styles. Individual tutoring also allows a flexible schedule that fits the needs of busy students and families.
To support the college-going culture of the Kalamazoo Public Schools and to give back to the community, BFF Test Prep would like to provide free services for at least two students per academic year. Students will be selected based on financial need and academic performance. As the Kalamazoo Promise removes the financial barrier to attending higher education, BFF Test Prep values its obligation to remove financial barriers to quality college-entrance test preparation. Please inquire to be considered for this opportunity.
Curriculum
BFF Test Prep can help Kalamazoo students gain acceptance to the schools that are the best fit for their higher education success. Using the proven curriculum, online tools, and diagnostic tests through Summit Educational Group, BFF tutors can customize the curriculum to each student’s learning style and academic needs.
The standard SAT/ACT math and SAT/ACT verbal/writing program consists of twelve 90-minute sessions and is recommended for first-time test takers. Ideally this tutoring program commences at least 12 weeks prior to the test date, but accommodations can be made to adjust to a student’s needs. Alternate options include tutoring taking place on a per session basis and can be tailored to focus on a single subject; this option might be preferred when a student is on their 2nd or 3rd round of testing and needs to improve a score in specific topic areas.
